This gear kit features 4.88 gears for the front and rear. Reduce strain on the drivetrain with these quality-made gears made for daily drivers and serious off-roaders.
Re-Gear for Rewards. Upsizing your Jeep's tires can negatively affect torque and eat up fuel faster than before. Changing your gears to accommodate the bigger diameter of the new tires can boost performance and fuel economy.
8620 Steel. This Nitro Gear & Axle constructs this Ring Gear and Pinion Kit from ultra-sturdy forged 8620 steel and designs it to increase your RPM's. The gears are precision machined, CNC triple-lapped, and Rockwell hardness tested, as well as heat treated for extra durability. All of this amounts to longer-lasting, smooth-running front and back gears.
Use the Pros. As re-gearing is a complex process, a professional installer is recommended. Be sure to give the mechanic the two ring and pinion sets, as well as the included Nitro front and rear master install kits that have OEM carrier and pinion bearings.
