Upgrade to the Right Gear. Setting up the Wrangler with the correct gear ratio improves its performance, fuel economy, and even helps to reduce wear. This Nitro Gear & Axle Dana 44 Rear Ring Gear and Pinion Kit lets you re-gear to a 4.88 gear ratio. Additionally, these gears are exceptionally strong and tough, making them fit for heavy-duty off-road applications.
Heavy-Duty Construction. These Nitro Gear & Axle ring and pinion gears are precision-machined from high-quality 8620 steel forgings. They’re then heat-treated, CNC triple-lapped, and undergo Rockwell hardness testing. This ensures that they’re as hard as possible for strength and durability while also ensuring that they provide ideal contact for a smooth and quiet operation.
Recommended Upgrade. This kit only contains the ring and pinion gears. Purchasing a Nitro Gear & Axle installation kit is highly recommended.
Professional Installation Recommended. The gears are direct fits and require no additional fabrication. However, due to the complexity entailed in replacing the gears, it’s highly recommended that a professional mechanic perform the installation.
2-Year Limited Warranty. The Dana 44 Rear Ring Gear and Pinion Kit is warranted to be free of defects in materials or workmanship. Exclusions will apply.
