Description
The Right Gears for Off-Roading. The Nitro Gear & Axle Dana 30 Ring Gear and Pinion Kit rotate in reverse, which means it has a high pinion orientation. As such, it provides better ground clearance that’s great for off-road adventures. And with a 4.56 gear ratio, it’s better for high-performance applications requiring lower-end torque such as rock crawling, towing, and hauling.
Reinforced Construction. As an aftermarket gear set designed for high-performance, the Nitro Gear & Axle Ring Gear and Pinion Kit is built to surpass OEM gears. Each gear starts out as forged 8620-grade triple steel that’s been heat-treated and CNC-machined to follow OEM specifications. Surfaces are triple lapped to minimize friction and provide a noise-free operation.
Speedometer Tuning Needed. Prevent speeding tickets by updating your on-board computer after the gear installation. Your speedometer needs to take into account any gear ratio change for precise speed readings.
Professional Installation. The differential assembly is one of the more complicated parts of your Jeep. Therefore, any work on it requiring disassembly should be done by someone with mechanical expertise and specialized tools.
2-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty. Nitro Gear & Axle believes in customer satisfaction and product quality. And because of that, they are offering a 2-year warranty on their Dana 30 Ring Gear and Pinion Kit to the original owner starting from the date of purchase. What are covered in this warranty are materials and workmanship issues. Exclusions will apply so visit the manufacturer’s site to learn more.
Technical Note. Jeep Wranglers with 4x4s are required to have matching front and rear gear ratios. Using your 4WD with differing gear ratios may result in serious damages to your drivetrain components.
