      Description

      There is a point in a Gladiator build where the factory suspension geometry stops making sense.

      The Motobilt MB7016 Double Triangulated 4-Link Suspension Bracket and Skid System replaces the factory rear suspension layout with a true linked suspension designed for serious off-road use. Instead of relying on a track bar and short control arms, this system uses a double triangulated rear 4-link design that locates the axle without a track bar and allows the suspension to cycle smoothly through its travel.

      This system includes the frame mounted bracketry required to build a true double triangulated rear suspension, along with the chassis structure needed to support the loads generated by larger tires, heavier axles, and aggressive terrain.

      The kit replaces the factory transmission crossmember with a heavy duty removable crossmember that also supports the lower front link mounts. A ¼ inch thick skid plate follows the contours of the crossmember and provides a smooth, flush underbelly to help the Jeep slide across obstacles rather than hanging up on bolt heads or brackets.

      A new rear frame crossmember ties the frame rails together and acts as both a structural component and the mounting location for the rear suspension brackets. The system also includes a heavy duty engine skid that protects the oil pan, transmission, and front driveline components.

      All pivot bolts are fully recessed and protected, keeping them safe from trail damage while still allowing access with standard tools when maintenance or service is required.

      This system was designed to remove the guesswork from suspension geometry so builders can focus on assembling the suspension rather than trying to calculate link placement from scratch.
