Performance Muffler. The Flowmaster 40 Series Delta Flow Center/Dual Out Oval Muffler with 3-Inch inlet and 2.50-Inch outlet is designed to provide an aggressive exhaust tone with improved scavenging for enhanced engine performance. Ideal for street and strip use, it reduces interior resonance while delivering a milder exterior sound compared to standard 40 series mufflers, making it suitable for a variety of vehicle types including muscle cars, trucks, and street rods.

Construction and Appearance. Constructed from durable 16 gauge aluminized steel, this muffler features a fully MIG welded design for maximum strength and longevity. It is finished with high-temperature black paint that offers resistance to heat and corrosion. Its oval shape is engineered to optimize airflow with the patented Delta Flow technology.

Installation. Installation generally requires moderate skill. The muffler features slip-fit inlet connections designed for clamp-on or weld-on attachment. New hangers are required but not included, and some adaptation may be necessary for a universal fit.

Application. This muffler fits a wide range of vehicles with 4 or 6 cylinder engines, including classic and late model muscle cars, street rods, street/strip vehicles, and trucks or SUVs. It is universal with some adaptation required for proper installation.
