Multi-Purpose Wrangler Head Units

With each subsequent Wrangler generation, the center console gets more and more technologically heavy. While sometimes harder to digest, there are many ways us Jeepers can take advantage of the larger screen and how connected the dash is to our rig’s computer. Aftermarket head units not only make controlling your music choices a breeze but also include upgraded navigation and even a toggle for engine management gauges. We’re not just talking standard GPS navigation either. The best radios for Wranglers include a clinometer for trail use. Keep in mind the JL Rubicon comes standard with a trail friendly head unit.

Speakers and Subwoofers

Finding the best speakers for your Jeep Wrangler partially depends on the frequencies of music you listen to, but there are staple features you’d want to pay attention to. First is the physical size of the speaker. Newer Jeeps use 6 and ¾ inch circular speakers. Older Jeeps use 6 by 4 inch oval speakers. Since you don’t have designated tweeter spots from the factory, it’s recommended to lean towards 2-way or 3-way speakers. 2-ways can handle medium and high ranges, while 3-ways can hit lower tones. For deep rumbles, subwoofers are necessary. Unfortunately, the tend to take up a lot of space. The best Jeep subwoofers essentially hide in the trunk, while providing a hard, top panel to continue utilizing the trunk.
