Description
Power Retractable Running Boards. The Amp Research PowerStep Running Boards provide a convenient and stylish solution for easier vehicle entry and exit. These boards automatically deploy when the door opens and retract after a 3-second delay when the door closes, preserving aesthetics and maximizing ground clearance. Ideal for trucks, SUVs, and Jeeps, they offer a functional boost for passengers of all heights. The steps drop much lower than traditional running boards for easier access and support up to 600 lbs.
_x000D_Construction and Appearance. Constructed from corrosion-resistant die-cast aluminum, these running boards feature a military-grade black PTFE coating that offers durability and a sleek, textured finish. The wide 6-inch steps utilize a slip-resistant tread surface and include low-profile integrated LED courtesy lights for added safety in low-visibility conditions.
_x000D_Installation. Installation is moderately challenging and recommended to be performed by professionals. The mounting system requires no drilling as it mounts directly to the vehicle’s rocker panel, with newer models connecting via a plug-and-play OBDII module. The product includes vehicle-specific installation guides, all necessary mounting brackets, hardware, and wiring accessories.
