The install kit contains all necessary bearings, seals and hardware, making differential rebuild or re‑gearing straightforward and efficient.
Construction and Appearance. This Rear Axle Ring and Pinion Gear Kit includes gear components precision‑manufactured and inspected by USA Standard Gear, with a nodular steel ring gear and case, 29‑spline Yukon Dura Grip clutch‑style LSD built with forged 4320 chromoly spider gears and composite clutches. Finish is industrial grey gear‑coated steel with durable bearings and seals.
Installation. Rated for experienced technicians or professional shops; setup requires disassembly of the 8.25-inch rear differential and exact measurement of pinion depth, backlash, and preload shims following the detailed instructions. Drilling not required, but torque tools, dial indicator and specialty tools for shimming are essential.
