      Description

      High Heat Barrier Protection. The Floor and Tunnel Shield II, measuring 42 inches by 48 inches, provides superior insulation and reflects heat away from interior surfaces and critical vehicle components. It is designed to protect areas exposed to extreme temperatures such as firewalls, floorboards, transmission tunnels, and fuel cells, helping to maintain comfort and prevent heat damage in automotive environments.

      Construction and Appearance. This heat shield features a 10 mil embossed aluminum face bonded to a 1/8 inch composite glass-fiber core, giving it rigidity and excellent heat reflective qualities. The aluminum surface is dimpled for enhanced reflection and ease of installation. The product is 3/16 inch thick overall and finished with a non-adhesive backing designed for durability and flexibility in tight clearance areas.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward with no need for drilling; the aluminum side must face the heat source for optimal performance. The shield can be cut and shaped for a custom fit in confined spaces.

      Application. Fits universal applications and requires some adaptation for the best fit. It should not be applied directly to exhaust components to avoid damage or failure.
