The Rough Country Suspension 4.5-Inch Long Arm Suspension Lift Kit with Rear Leaf Springs and M1 Monotube Shocks is designed to dramatically improve your Jeep Cherokee XJ's off-road capability and ride quality. This comprehensive kit elevates ground clearance, provides superior articulation for rough terrains, and maintains precise suspension geometry for reliable handling both on and off the road.
Construction and Appearance. This kit features heavy-duty components such as high-clearance lower control arms and extreme-travel long arms made from robust steel with precision engineering. The X-Flex control arms include OEM-style rubber bushings and oversized, fully greasable flex joints to ensure lasting performance. Premium M1 monotube shocks use a seamless extruded tube with a polished rod for consistent, fade-free damping. The design provides an aggressive stance and rugged durability.
Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill with an estimated time of 8 to 9 hours and involves no drilling. The kit comes complete with all necessary components and hardware for a straightforward bolt-on upgrade of your suspension system.
Warranty. This suspension kit includes a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty on selected shock options to ensure confidence in long-term durability.
Application. Designed specifically to fit 1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ models equipped with the NP231 transfer case. It is not compatible with models featuring 2.8L V-6 or diesel engines, AX5 transmissions, or 1987-1989 models with Peugeot manual transmissions. Note that models using 33-inch tires will require fender trimming to ensure proper clearance.
