Jeep Cherokee Oil Catch Cans

Direct-injected Cherokee engines don't wash the intake valves with fuel the way port-injected engines do, which means oil vapor cycling back through the PCV system has nothing to clean up after it. Intercepting that vapor before it reaches the intake is exactly what Jeep Cherokee Oil Catch Cans are designed to do, keeping the valves cleaner over a higher mileage range than the factory PCV system manages on its own.

A catch can with a genuine coalescing element is the version worth buying — the separator-style cans that look similar from the outside but use only a baffle pass most of the vapor through and collect very little of what matters. The KL's 2.0T is the generation where this upgrade makes the most difference since direct injection and a turbocharged intake system accumulate deposits faster than the naturally aspirated engines in earlier Cherokees.

Jeep Cherokee Oil Catch Cans are part of keeping the intake side healthy on a Cherokee that gets used hard. The full engine performance category is at Jeep Cherokee Engine Performance Parts, engine dress-up options for owners also addressing underhood appearance are at Jeep Cherokee Engine Dressup, and cold air intake options that feed a clean intake system are at Jeep Cherokee Cold Air Intakes & Air Filters.
