Description
Enhanced Airflow and Engine Efficiency. The K&N Series 50 intake replaces the restrictive stock airbox and tubing with a smooth-bore aluminum pipe and a performance-tuned filter to boost airflow by up to 50%. This design increases throttle response and horsepower throughout the RPM range while maintaining factory-like drivability. By drawing cooler air from outside the engine bay, it helps improve combustion efficiency, particularly under heavy load or high-temperature conditions.
Premium Filtration and Durability. The large-diameter filter employs multiple layers of oiled cotton gauze framed in a corrosion-resistant synthetic mesh. Its MERV-16 rating traps submicron particles while allowing high-volume flow, and the washable, reusable element offers up to 100,000 miles between cleanings with periodic recharging using the included kit. The aluminum tube and heat shield resist corrosion and heat soak, ensuring consistent performance over time.
Installation. Uninstall the stock airbox and tubing, install the heat shield in the factory mounting points, slide the intake tube into place, attach the filter, secure with the provided clamps, and reconnect any mass-air or temperature sensors. No cutting or drilling required.
Application. The K&N Series 50 NextGen Cold Air Intake fits 2016–2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 models powered by the 3.6L V6 engine.
