Description
Superior Driveline Performance. The Rough Country Rear CV Driveshaft designed for 4 to 6-inch suspension lifts is engineered to address driveline vibration and prevent rear output shaft failure on lifted Jeep Cherokees. It ensures smooth power delivery and durability under demanding off-road conditions.
Construction and Appearance. This driveshaft features a robust double cardan design, constructed with upgraded quality CV joints and reinforced shaft material to deliver twice the strength of the factory component. Its finishes are made for durability and corrosion resistance, maintaining functional integrity in harsh environments.
Installation. Installation typically takes approximately 2-3 hours. No drilling is required, but a slip yoke eliminator is necessary for proper fitment and function.
Application. Specifically designed to fit 1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ models equipped with a 4.0L six-cylinder engine, NP242 transfer case, and automatic transmission. This driveshaft is not compatible with other engine types, manual transmissions, or different transfer case configurations.
