It reduces radiant exhaust temperatures when applied to hot surfaces such as exhaust headers, turbo housings, and manifolds, helping to lower under-hood temperatures and protect nearby components.
_x000D__x000D_Construction and Appearance. This heat barrier is formed from 10 mil dimpled aluminum bonded to a high-temperature rated basalt thermal barrier material. This construction offers durability, excellent flexibility, and resistance to oil and chemical exposure, with a textured metallic finish that conforms easily to complex shapes.
