      Description

      Reliable Engine Protection. The 941998 1.25‑Inch Expansion Freeze Plug is a direct OEM‑spec replacement from Crown Automotive, designed to fit the cooling jacket of the 3.6 L in 2012–2016 WK2 Grand Cherokees. It seals coolant passages and protects the engine block from freeze damage. Like all Crown parts, it’s factory‑tested for quality and durability.

      Construction And Appearance. This plug is made of stamped metal, unpainted, with a smooth finish and standard expansion‑type flange. Built to OEM tolerances, it ensures a snug, leak‑free fit in the engine block bore. The natural metal finish provides corrosion resistance and durability.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward and intermediate level—requires proper bore cleaning and pressing or tapping the plug flush. A sealant may be applied per factory service manual. Light drilling isn’t required; the OEM‑spec bore accepts the plug directly.

      Warranty. Covered by a 12 month / 12,000 mile limited manufacturer warranty as standard with Crown Automotive engine parts.
