Description
Reliable Transfer Case Shift Solution. The B&M Heavy Duty Transfer Case Shift Cable Conversion Kit replaces the failure-prone stock cable and plastic ends to ensure positive and dependable transfer case gear selection. It is ideal for off-road builds and lifted vehicles, improving shift quality and durability where it matters most.
Construction and Appearance. This kit features a heavy-duty .425-inch cable housed in a long lay thermoplastic jacket with a spiral wound steel strand. It includes corrosion-resistant 6061 aluminum ends and heavy-duty powder-coated steel brackets designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and accessible for most enthusiasts with basic mechanical skills. Proper adjustment requires raising all wheels off the ground during setup. Note that this kit is not compatible with Rubicon transfer cases.
Warranty. The kit includes a manufacturer’s warranty covering quality and performance assurance.
Application. Designed for 1997-2006 Jeep TJ Wrangler, 2004-2006 LJ Wrangler Unlimited, 1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ, and 1986-1992 MJ Comanche models equipped with 231 & 242 transfer cases, this kit delivers a direct replacement that improves shift reliability. It is not compatible with Rubicon transfer cases.
