Jeep YJ Lockers for Wrangler (1987-1995)

There are many reasons why off-road vehicles get stuck in the mud or some other natural obstacle. It may be because they have inadequate wheels or tires or that some part of their transmission systems is not performing as it should. But in most cases, the explanation is simple—they don’t have Jeep Wrangler YJ lockers! Also known as free-wheeling hubs, these devices give you the option of locking the two half axles attached to your wheels to the drive plate, which allows them to turn together. This can be a major advantage on off-road trails where unlocked hubs will redistribute torque to the tire that needs it, instead of sending it to the one that has a no contact with the ground. Locking them together increases traction, which decreases the likelihood that you will get stuck in the mud. The Jeep Wrangler YJ lockers we sell are specifically designed for off-roading adventures.
