But the truth is that there are tens of thousands of adjustments and upgrades that can be made that will increase power, traction, and torque. To do this, we must often go to the source. The clutch plate is the part that is connected to the transmission and the flywheel is the one that is attached to the engine. Both of these important components are responsible for transferring force from the motor to the wheels. When in pristine shape, these parts will transmit power more effectively, but when they start to wear out, driving performance will inevitably suffer. The most common sign that your clutch and/or flywheel have seen better days is when the clutch begins to slip, which means it is losing traction against the flywheel.
