      Description

      Pre Filter Protection. The Rough Country Cold Air Intake Pre-Filter Bag is designed to wrap around the cold air intake filter to prevent dust and debris from contaminating the core filter element. This accessory enhances filter longevity by blocking unwanted particles while maintaining optimal airflow, helping reduce the frequency of filter servicing.

      Construction and Appearance. Made from silicone-treated polyester with a uniform micron-sized mesh, the pre-filter combines durability with effective filtration. The material is water repellent to protect the intake from moisture and features double-stitched elastic openings that securely fit over the filter without slipping.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward and requires no drilling or special tools, typically completed within 10 minutes. The elastic openings allow the pre-filter to snugly fit around the existing intake filter.

      Application. Specifically designed to fit the 1991 through 2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ equipped with the 4.0L engine. It is compatible with the Rough Country Cold Air Intake system sold separately and requires the filter to be installed beforehand.
