Using a computer-controlled process, the steel is then heat-treated to a specific hardness using state-of-the-art equipment. Motive guarantees the quality of all its gear sets by using in-house quality control labs.
Installation. Each Ring and Pinion Set is pre-marked with the proper depth settings for easier installation and replacement. The Motive 8.25 in Rear Ring Gear and Pinion Set is designed for 10-bolt rear differentials. Only allow a professional mechanic with drivetrain and rear differential experience to remove the old gear set and install the new gear set.
