Without these inexpensive steel layers, vital components, such as the transfer case, oil pans, gas tanks, or steering linkage may be damaged on difficult trails. Because not all Wranglers are used for off-roading activities, skid plates must be purchased separately as part of an upgrade package. The skid plates we sell can be attached to the lower arm mount of your Jeep Wrangler. They are inexpensive and can be installed by any amateur mechanic.
