Description
Full Race Torque Converter. The Hays Twister Full Race Torque Converter features a 10-inch diameter and 10-inch bolt pattern with a 3200-3600 RPM stall speed, engineered for extreme racing conditions. It is optimized for use with trans-brakes and power adders such as nitrous, superchargers, and turbos to deliver effective torque management and improved acceleration.
Construction and Appearance. It includes a custom-designed anti-balloon plate that prevents converter ballooning during intense racing situations. The unit is hand-built and inspected throughout assembly, utilizing internal welding techniques for enhanced durability and consistency. Heavy-duty Torrington bearings reinforce the build, and advanced spray welding technology ensures a strong, reliable structure built to withstand high-stress environments.
Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill with no drilling necessary. This torque converter uses standard 7/16"-20 flexplate bolts (not included) and fits directly onto the specified transmission bolt pattern.
Application. This torque converter is specifically designed to fit 1984-1986 Jeep Cherokee XJ models equipped with the A904 transmission, meeting the performance needs for this vehicle and transmission combination.
