      Description

      HIGH-PERFORMANCE TORQUE CONVERTER. The Hays Twister Full Race Torque Converter with a 10-inch bolt pattern and 2400-2800 RPM stall speed range is engineered to handle the demands of racing and power adders such as nitrous oxide, superchargers, and turbos. It includes a custom anti-balloon plate designed to prevent converter ballooning under high stress, making it suitable for vehicles requiring reliable stall performance for enhanced acceleration and power delivery.

      CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE. This torque converter is hand-built with internal welding and advanced spray welding processes to ensure strength and consistent fusion. It features heavy duty Torrington bearings and high flow stators that improve durability and cooling. The weight-saving, one-application design helps reduce rotational mass for improved overall performance.

      INSTALLATION. Installation requires 7/16"-20 flexplate bolts (not included) and is compatible with Chrysler TF-727 transmission bolt patterns. The unit is designed for direct fitment without the need for drilling or additional modifications under normal installation conditions.

      APPLICATION. Specifically designed to fit 1984-1986 Jeep Cherokee XJ models equipped with the A727 transmission, this torque converter accommodates the transmission’s bolt pattern and performance needs without requiring modifications.
