This combination produces 365 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque, making it ideal for those seeking a reliable replacement or upgrade engine. It is commonly used in classic Bronco restorations and other compatible small block Ford applications where smooth power delivery and durability are essential.
Construction and Appearance. Built on a high-strength cast iron block with increased deck thickness and strength webbing for added durability, this engine features aluminum cylinder heads with a satin finish, a black low-profile front accessory drive, and a hydraulic roller camshaft. The rotating assembly includes a cast crankshaft and hypereutectic pistons, and the entire unit is externally balanced for smooth operation. The design combines solid engineering with a clean, attractive appearance.
Installation. Installation is straightforward for experienced mechanics but may require modifications to existing driveshafts, transmission mounts, and exhaust routing due to the 4R70W transmission inclusion. While no drilling is typically required, it is recommended to verify fitment—especially of the front accessory drive components—for each specific vehicle application.
Warranty. This engine package is backed by a 30-month or 50,000-mile transferable warranty, providing coverage for parts and labor, ensuring quality and peace of mind for the purchaser.
Application.
