The BDS 4.50 to 8.50-Inch Long Arm Suspension Lift Kit replaces the factory short arm system with a durable 4-link long arm setup, significantly improving off-road capability and overall stability. It supports lift heights from 4.5 up to 8.5 inches, offering enhanced articulation and drivability for demanding terrain.
Construction and Appearance. Made from high-quality materials, the control arms feature urethane bushings for durability and improved ride comfort. Gen II forged flex eyes ensure reliable articulation while the adjustable arms and mounting hardware are designed to endure rugged off-road use. Components are greaseable for easy maintenance, promoting long-lasting performance.
Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill and uses factory mounting points; some adjustments are necessary for proper alignment. No drilling or frame modifications are needed, simplifying installation for experienced installers.
Application. This long arm conversion kit is engineered specifically for the 1987 to 2001 4WD Jeep Cherokee XJ equipped with a 4.0L engine and automatic transmission. It accommodates lifts between 4.5 and 8.5 inches and is not compatible with other engine or transmission configurations.
