Description
Heat and Noise Control. The Thermo Tec Cool-It Mat (24-Inch x 50-Foot) significantly reduces heat and noise entering your vehicle's driver compartment and other critical areas. This mat provides an effective barrier against intrusive heat and sound, improving comfort and the driving experience. It is versatile for use on the firewall, floorboards, doors, hoods, and transmission housings.
Construction and Appearance. This insulation mat is made from a resin-bonded silica blanket positioned between two layers of foil facings. One side features a reflective Foil Skrim Kraft (FSK) facing that acts as a vapor and radiant barrier, while the other side has a foil layer designed to conduct heat, enhancing thermal protection. The mat measures approximately half an inch thick.
Installation. The Cool-It Mat is easy to trim to fit specific applications and can be installed using the included push-in fasteners or any quality weather strip adhesive. No drilling is typically required, making installation straightforward without special tools.
