Product Overview. The Diode Dynamics Red LED Bulbs; 3157 HP48 provide a modern upgrade to the factory incandescent rear turn signal bulbs on the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Designed as a direct replacement, these LEDs offer instant on/off blink functionality for a crisp and clean turn signal effect. They provide a cosmetic upgrade with a sharp red output compliant with SAE/DOT requirements for rear turn signals.
Construction and Appearance. These bulbs feature 48 omnidirectional LEDs beneath a diffusing cover for even light distribution and a clean off-state look. Each bulb is assembled with a molded connector and sturdy terminals to ensure durability and consistent performance. The red emitters meet SAE/DOT standards specific to rear turn signal applications.
Installation. Installation is simple and requires no modifications or drilling—just plug the bulbs into the existing 3157 rear turn signal socket. Installation typically takes 5 to 10 minutes using basic non-marring tools for panel access. Note that these bulbs require the installation of an LED resistor kit or compatible wiring to prevent hyperflashing or bulb-out error signals due to the vehicle's flasher module or BCM setup.
Warranty. These bulbs include a 3 year replacement limited warranty to ensure customer confidence and product reliability.
