It is primarily used as a thermal barrier on firewalls, transmission tunnels, floorboards, and fuel cells, preventing heat transfer and safeguarding sensitive electronics and vehicle occupants.

Constructed with a 10 mil embossed aluminum face bonded to a 1/8-inch composite glass-fiber core, this shield features a modern, multifaceted aluminum surface for enhanced heat reflection and rigidity. The backing is a high-temperature, super strong pressure-sensitive material with a patented finely woven glass-fiber layer, giving it a lightweight, durable, and easily customizable design with a thickness of only 3/16 inch.
