      Description

      LED TURN SIGNAL UPGRADE. The Diode Dynamics Red LED Bulbs; 3157 HP48 offer an instant-on, modern lighting solution for rear turn signals on the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Designed as a direct plug-and-play replacement for factory incandescent bulbs, these LEDs improve vehicle appearance and responsiveness by eliminating the slow glow typically seen in traditional bulbs. While providing a cosmetic upgrade with a measured output of 250 lumens per bulb, they maintain correct red color matching for rear turn signal applications.

      CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE. These bulbs feature an omnidirectional design utilizing 48 high-quality LEDs encapsulated beneath a diffusing cover that ensures even light distribution and a clean appearance when off. Each bulb includes a molded connector with durable terminals and is constructed with constant-current inductive circuitry plus built-in transient suppression to protect against automotive voltage spikes. The design fully complies with SAE/DOT requirements for red emitters.

      INSTALLATION. Installation is straightforward and requires no modifications to the vehicle. The bulbs plug directly into the factory 3157 sockets and typically take 5 to 10 minutes to install using a non-marring trim tool for access. Load resistors are required for this Jeep Grand Cherokee application to prevent hyperblinking due to the BCM-controlled flasher system.
