The Heat Screen GOLD, measuring 36 inches by 40 inches, is designed to prevent heat from engines and exhaust systems from encroaching on vehicle interiors and sensitive components. It acts as a thermal barrier to maintain lower temperatures around critical areas, ensuring improved performance and durability in demanding environments.
_x000D_Construction and Appearance. This product features a high-temperature metalized polyimide laminate bonded onto a robust 20oz heat-treated glass fiber base. It measures 0.031 inches thick and has a reflective metallic finish that effectively reflects radiant heat up to 800°F, with the base glass able to withstand radiant heat up to 1100°F.
_x000D_Installation. Installation is straightforward and can be done using mechanical fasteners or a specialized high-temperature adhesive. The backing is non-adhesive, and care should be taken not to apply the product directly to exhaust components.
