Description

It is designed to manage under-hood temperatures by insulating exhaust components, reducing radiant heat, and protecting nearby areas from heat damage. Common applications include exhaust headers, manifolds, turbo housings, and related components, helping maintain system efficiency and safety.
_x000D__x000D_Construction and Appearance. This heat barrier features a 10 mil dimpled aluminum outer layer bonded to a basalt thermal barrier material, highly resistant to heat. The aluminum surface is pliable yet durable, with resistance to oil and chemical spills. Its textured finish allows it to conform to various shapes and surfaces for optimal heat management.
_x000D__x000D_Installation. Installation is straightforward using straps, clamps, or locking ties without the need for drilling. The shield does not have an adhesive backing, allowing for flexible application. Adhesive spray is recommended when applying the shield to non-hot surfaces.
