      Description

      Heat Protection Sleeve. The Fire Sleeve; 0.625-inch x 100-foot, is designed to protect automotive fuel, transmission, and brake lines from heat and abrasion damage. It acts as a fireproof insulator that preserves the integrity of vulnerable components exposed to extreme temperatures, preventing heat-related failures and extending the life of critical vehicle lines.

      Construction and Appearance. Made from high temperature resistant braided glass material, the sleeve is woven into a durable sheath and extensively coated with 100% iron oxide silicone rubber. This combination provides excellent thermal insulation and a protective outer finish that withstands direct heat up to 500°F, while also tolerating intermittent heat up to 2000°F. The sleeve remains flexible yet robust to accommodate hoses and wiring bundles.

      Installation. Installation is simple and requires no drilling or complex modifications. The sleeve can be easily slipped over wiring or hoses and cut to the desired length for a customizable and effective heat shield.

      Application. Designed to fit universal applications; some adaptations may be necessary depending on hose fittings and line sizes, especially with braided stainless steel lines or pre-installed fittings.
