Description

This impressive flat splicer is created with adventurers in mind as the world's first splice on folding winch rope shackle mount thimble, featuring a design that allows it to be stowed with the groove side toward the winch for ideal protection against UV light, impacts, and abrasion. Not only does the splicer effectively guard your synthetic winch lines, but it also can be folded flat against winch fairleads to reduce frontal protrusion, which ensures superior approach angles for the most demanding terrain.
Ideal Build. Constructed from 1.75 inch aluminum for strength and reliability under pressure, this flat splicer's American design and build ensures top-notch durability for a long time to come. The splicer is then finished with a sleek black mil-spec hard anodized coat that adds style and strength while its integrated EPDM rubber pads maintain their efficacy now and down the road. With a design that accommodates the pin and bow sections of common 3/4 inch shackles and the pin ends of larger 7/8 inch shackles, this splicer allows you to thread the rope through the middle and route it 90 degrees along the inner radius.
Installation. Either the locking brummel splice or the long bury splice is recommended. The installation requires synthetic rope splicing knowledge and about 1 hour of your time.
