    Great grill guard. Great price!

I'm very happy with the guard The price was the best I've found so far and, the customer service was excellent. I would highly recommend both the guard and Extreme Terrain. As far as the install went... This grill guard was fairly easy to install. The cutting of the plastic pieces was the most time consuming and frustrating part and I would recommend taking your time, test fit it multiple times before the final tightening of the bolts and, give yourself extra space in the holes you cut(because as you tighten it up the brackets will shift). Also, take a good look at the instructions and make sure you have the right ones, the ones I got were for an older model that didn't use nyloc nuts, as well as a few other hardware differences, that could leave you searching for missing parts. Just print out the instructions from the website like I did.

    Looks great!

Took two of us less than two hours to install. Had to make a few cuts in the plastic guards between the vehicle and the bumper as well as the splash guard to get them back in place. Once installed though I think it looks great and should be very functional for my needs. Very happy!

    Great Grill Guard

Received the grill guard in a damaged carton, opened up the packing and found some dents on the upper most cross tube-appears to have been dropped in shipment somewhere along the line. Fortunately the paint was not cracked or scuffed, dents were about quarter sized, disappointed about that...but it is going on a Jeep! I will however be contacting customer service about the packing methods. Looked at both the PDF of installation instructions and the enclosed manual.....UUUUHHHHH???? kind of got it figured out and started working on the install. It was pretty straight forward once you determined what was going on. Frankly the instructions were poorly written and confusing. Those with no mechanical skills may be lost. Once we figured out what was going on it was like a "eureka" moment and install went fairly fast and snag free from there out. This guard went on my wife's 2010 Wrangler 2 Door. It looks great once on and seems exceptionally sturdy. It is very similar to grill guards and "buddy bumpers" found on police patrol cars, with its prominent feature being some very large sturdy vertical uprights. We live in "deer alley" in the Texas Hill country and this guard will make me feel better about her rolling down the highway when a deer decides to jump out! Overall for the price, free shipping and excellent construction I would give this guard a 5 of 5 stars.

    3 hours under my JK

There is no way this can be classified a "simple hand tool installation". Starting with the difficulty of removing the factory splash shield studs, trying to cut neat holes in the shields, problems with washers that were too small, allowing attachment bolts to pass right through the openings in my Jeep's frame. I am not a skilled mechanic, the installation took every bit of 4 hours. That said, the finished product does look really good, one of the few brush guards I've seen for JK's that looks like a factory option. There are a couple of small dents in the top cross bar, I guess from rough treatment during shipping, but the finished product feels solid, no vibration while driving. The paint finish is excellent, but i sure wish I'd had some warning as to what to expect from that installation! Gear wrenches were a big help.

    Love the look!

Love the look of this brush guard, gives a classic, rugged look. The top bars did have a couple small dings in it (and unfortunately they are facing me while I drive as that bar sits slightly above the hood) but it still looks great and I am happy with the outcome. I did the install by myself, and it probably would have saved about an hour (took me about 2 hours and I left the air dams off so didn't have to reinstall those) with some help but it's doable. Overall, very happy with it.

Awesome upgrade for my jeep, looks great and is very strong in protecting the front end and appearance is awesome. The only thing is that the install took a little longer than I had expected. The results were rewarding. Great product.

    Great product

This was a very good purchase and makes my Jeep look mean! I bought this because I live in a very rural area and wanted to protect my new 2016 Jeep from damage if I hit a deer, but the bonus is that it looks great. It did have a tiny dent in it when it arrived, but wasn't worth sending it back for, especially since it is for a Jeep.

    Looking Like A Police/Fire Vehicle

This push bar is amazing! One of a Kind! I live in NYC and i dont see a lot of jeeps that have this bar! I feel so unique with it. My coworkers that have jks and yjs saw it, and oh boy, they all loved it. The only cons about it was the installation, because it took my dads shop 3 hours to install and it cost me $120(still not bad). They told me it wasnt perfectly fitted. (We all know that most aftermarket parts are like that) Also, if you want to put a winch, you should look for a really good welder to customized a winch plate. But overall this product is Great! Defend and Protect!!!

Gives the JK a robust look.

After figuring how best to cut out the slots to accommodate the upper brackets it was just a matter of bolting on. The hardest part was getting the molding pins out of the plastic. I did not use the braces because when you attached the hanging supports and the 6 bolts in the front it was solid.

    Solid front end Protection

I hit a deer on the road last season w/o this guard...3000.00 + in damages. This is the best guard i've seen for the Wranglers I've had a similar one on my Jeep Cherokee...hit seven deer in 7 years. it would have been totaled w/o it

Even a caveman can do it

Although I am not mechanically inclined what' so ever, I was able to put this excellent, aggressive grill guard on in a little over 4 hours. There are some issues with the placement, and I definitely needed to read the directions, but once it was on, it is awesome. Shipping was a little haphazard, as the box seemed to be put together from other boxes, but otherwise everything showed up like it should. I like how it conforms to the stock bumper, and I didn't have to spend a boatload of money to get that protection and aggression I so wanted.

    NOT easy to install

Read the review by Skeethree - it's pretty accurate. It took several hours over 3 days to get this installed. At several points in the installation, I got to wondering whether or not this was actually intended for my 2015 Unlimited. If I had to do it all again, I'd pay to have it installed. This one wasn't worth the time and frustration it took to get it on. Though, now that it's on, it does look nice...

Review from RedRock 4x4 Grille Guard - Stainless Steel (07-17 Wrangler JK)

    Great Looking Brushguard

I really love the look of this brush guard. I was looking for a brush guard for my Jeep, and decided on this one. I don't regret if. I think it makes my Jeep look tough. It took my husband about a couple of hours to install, because he did it alone. He said it wasn't that bad, I couldn't wait for him to finish it so I could see how it looked. I am more than happy with the results.

    Great Product

I appreciate Extreme Terrain for getting this product to me quickly. In fact I was very surprised how fast it was delivered to my door. I installed this with the assistance of a friend in about 2 hours even though the instructions made a better fire starter than giving guidance. In fact, the directions were totally different than what is given on this website. I will not knock Extreme Terrain for that though. This is a solid product and looks great on my JK. The only problem I have is the dent on one of the tubes. Unfortunately I didn't notice this until I took the protective wrapping off at the final stage of installation. I have contacted Extreme Terrain as this seems to be a common complaint.

The brackets did not line up had to drill new holes in frame, the holes in the frame were too big for the holes on the plates had to use bigger washers to accommodate, but finish look is sturdy and functional but install was pita.
