Installation. If you've never replaced windshield seal, give yourself a minimum of an hour to finish this job. You need a utility knife to make any necessary cuts, plus winshield weatherstripping adhesive, which is sold seperately. start by cleaning the area where the old seal was installed. You can use regular glass cleaner, but mineral spirits work well for removing old adhesive left behind. Dry fit the new seal, then remove it and apply the fresh adhesive before installing the seal permanently.
