How To Install a Redrock 4X4 Snorkel on your 2007-2011 Jeep Wrangler JK

Installation Time

90 minutes

Tools Required
  • 10 mm socket and ratchet
  • Tape Measure
  • Painters tape
  • Philips screwdriver
  • Dremel tool with metal Es lock cutting blade 1 1/4 inch
  • Clear silicone
  • Calking gun
  • T40starbit
  • Rivet gun
  • Drill and 1/8 drill bit

Installation Instructions: 

1. Prepare tools ahead of time by setting them in an organized manner,so they are easy to find. Once tools are set aside, start installation of snorkel to body first, remove two 10 mm bolts from left fender and 2 T40 bolts from side pillar, also remove factory air intake and attach snorkel. 



2. Find middle point of template with tape measure, drop hood and measure air intake by lining up center point of template and center point of air intake section on snorkel. Once aligned attach template to bottom lip of hood with painters tape. 


3. Crisp edge of template to prepare for cut, start cutting on template line with Dremel tool. Once finished cutting, remove piece of hood. Place the hood bezel around the hole drill 1/8 inch holes at each rivet spot, install rivets through holes and secure them. 




4. Installation is now complete. Remember to waterproof air intake with silicone to prevent flooding and enjoy your Redrock snorkel.
