Specs. Tough and reliable, this Teraflex 231 Short Shaft Kit eliminates the slip yoke and replaces it with a fixed yoke, making it ideal for use after you've installed a slip kit. The sturdy driveshaft is 4 inches longer than stock, making it unnecessary to reposition the T-case after installing a lift kit, eliminating vibration, and so on. This component is built extra-burly to shrug off the effects of up to 50% extra torque from the lift kit and aftermarket tires and gearing.
Construction. Teraflex's 231 Short Shaft Kit is protected by a limited lifetime warranty and is made out of high quality materials. The resistance to torque is 50% higher than stock, and there is no need to lower the transfer case after installing a lift kit thanks to the 4 inches of additional driveshaft length the Short Shaft Kit provides. The size of the output bearing and rear housing are also increased. Severe vibrations and the risk of early U-joint failure are both eliminated.
Application. Fits 1987-2006 TJ & YJ Wranglers.
