How to Install Rough Country D30 DIFF GUARD on your 1987-1995 Wrangler

Please read instructions before beginning installation. Check the kit hardware against the parts list and product layout. Be sure you have all needed parts and know where they go. Also please review tools needed list and make sure you have needed tools.

5– 5/16” x1” Bolts
5– 5/16” Washers

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Using a 1/2” wrench remove the 5 factory bolts from the stock differential cover. Do not remove the cover, be careful not to break the seal and let gear oil run out.

2. Place the Rough County differential cover over the stock cover and align holes.

3. Using the 5/16”x 1” bolts and 5/16” washers bolt cover in place. Torque bolts to 15ft.lbs

4. If any fluid was lost in installing the covers, check the fluid level in the differential.

Re torque all fasteners after 500 miles. Visually inspect components and re torque fasteners during routine vehicle service.
