i have a 2017 wrangler 4 door. your 6 inch is that the highest lift you have? and is there any welding or drilling required on these 6 inch long arm. i see they vary a nice amount. is that for more or less agressivenes

    francesca

    • Thank you for your question! This is a completely bolt on kit and will not require any welding. When installing the bump stop extensions you will need to self tap a screw into the frame, but other than that everything is completely bolt on.

I own a 2012 wrangler. I recently put a rough country 4" lift bought through you. I also had 2" spacers in place. so roughly a total 6" lift. my shocks were not long enough so I stoped at a local 4x4 shop to see about shock extensions. I was told that a 6" lift was too much for my jeep since it was a short 2 door and this would cause problems and strain on my drive train. can you please let me know if I can change to the 6" long travel kit or will this cause me issues with my drive train?

      Be prepared

Pretty much if you're a do it yourself kind of guy, the best thing I can suggest when installing this long arm kit is prep work and prep part/tools will save you a lot of time. you will need to get your exhaust redone. With y pipe spacers your driveshaft will still rub your exhaust. A torch will save you about 4 hours of grinding. Drop your fuel tank so you have more room for better welds. And actually reading directions for long arm measurements help. If you have a few miles on your jeep you may need a press to get your pit man arm off. But all and all, after about 30-40 hours of blood/sweat/tears and a lot of burn facial hair, you will get it done and be just as satisfied as I am. You'll have a fantastic, badass long arm lift, with some of the best and beefiest parts on the market. Remember not to swear everytime something goes wrong or when you have to back track what your doing. It'll happen a lot. Remember to have fun with it.
