Extreme Terrain has been wonderful!! I am finally starting my build. I have a 2016 Jeep Willys and her name is “SHIPWRECK”. I have purchased this lift kit along with a ton of other things. I purchased the Front adjustable track bar from TeraFlex but I’m really starting to wonder if I should have purchased the rear as well? Anyway, Ryan Huck can do a video on this lift kit and walk-thru video of install?

  • Hello! Congratulations on the purchase of the Teraflex 3 in. Suspension System w/ Shocks (07-17 Wrangler JK) The rear adjustable track bar is also something good to have just to make sure you have everything in place correctly, you can also get the Teraflex JK Rear Forged Adjustable Trackbar Kit, 0-6 in. Lift (07-17 Wrangler JK) which you can find here: http://www.extremeterrain.com/teraflex-jk-rear-forged-kit-jk-1754418.html It is possible that Ryan may get to do video install on this lift, but unfortunately we just don't know when, in the meantime there is a video on a very similar lift, that just doesn't include the control arms, you can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZgvtBC5cHc

Does it matter that this kit doesn't have front upper and rear lower arms. Is it really needed for a daily driver?

  • Thank you for your question! You do not necessarily need all of the control arms in order to install this Teraflex 3 in. Suspension Lift. The control arms included will do enough correction of the lift geometry that you will not require all of the arms, but you can always add them down the line.

Will upgraded drive shafts be needed for this lift? With about a 80lbs front bumper plus wench will the nose sag a little? And what other components would you recommend to get with the kit?

  • Upgraded or aftermarket driveshafts are not necessary for this 3" lift. The front will sag slightly but not by much, if it sags too much we sell spacers in various sizes to bring it back up. The only other item I would recommend is an adjustable front track bar to help center the front axle under the Jeep. Exhaust spacer kit J12153 required with this lift on 2012+ JK.

Does this kit have the springs from the 2.5 lift kit with spring isolation spacers? Would the front end have any nose dive at all with a heavy winch/bumper/hood mounted hi lift jack? Also noticed all 8 arms are only offerd in the 2dr kit, why is that?

  • The Teraflex 3 in. Suspension Lift Kit is going to use the same springs with spring spacers to achieve 3" of lift. Nose dive should not be any more noticeable than stock with this lift kit. Teraflex designs these kits to work very well on these Jeeps. They found that all 8 flex arms were only needed at this height with the 2 door models.

I purchased this kit for my jku i wanted to know the options for front and rear track bars and track bar brackets ... can i go with another brand and what else is needed for this kit im in a 2009 jku 4dr thanks ;)

  • With this kit you would be able to use different brand trackbar's like these: 1. https://www.extremeterrain.com/jks-front-adjustable-jk-ogs121.html 2. https://www.extremeterrain.com/mammoth-front-adjustable-track-bar-0717.html 3. https://www.extremeterrain.com/roughcountry-forged-front-jk-1179.html 4. https://www.extremeterrain.com/roughcountry-forged-rear-jk-1180.html This lift kit is a pretty complete kit that would not require any other parts to get the Jeep on the road.

Will this lift be ok with pulling let's say a small trailer with a sportsman 1000 on it? 1 answer
I am going to lift our jeep and put 33s on it for offroading, this is not a commute car it is a weekender. If we use this kit, will it accomodate the Warn Bumper Winch on front and smittybuilt XRC rear with a bigger spare without compromising the left? 1 answer

2018 jk 3 in. Lift jk 4 door.

4 stars do to the clarity of the instructions and as I did not receive all parts to this kit and had to contact support who were extremely helpful to send out missing parts. I was missing the rubber bump stops. Watch YouTube videos by havoc offroad for a very clear instruction on installation drilling angle of control arms etc. All and all the teraflex parts are super heavy duty, and after receiving all parts the kit went in in about 4 hrs. My new 2018 jeep handles better than new and the falcon shocks make all the difference in the smooth ride. Gotta have the monster track bars front and back! But back to the instructions, some parts were not used and others were not included and had to go to hardware store to piece together bolts spacers washers etc.

    AMAZING LIFT!

Very satisfied with my Teraflex 3in lift kit. Went to Rausch creek with it after install and had no problems on the Blue trails and will be trying the black trails with it next. The lift looks great, I ha e 35s on it now and can probably fit 37s with a little bit of cutting and the right fenders if you wanted to. All aroumd bery happy I went with this lift kit. Took me the weekend to do my lift just because wasnt in a rush to do it bc had knee surgey but could take an afternoon if prepped and know what youre doing.

    Excellent Lift '')

Being the first real lift I've ever bought, I'm happy I chose this one so far. Just installed and have only driven about 300 miles. Worst roads in America for those of you not familiar with PA. I have an 08 Unlimited (4 Doors still) and installed the 3" kit. Took about 16 hours, but should have taken about 11 hours if it wasn't for 2 bolts I broke off and had to drill out. Spray all bolts possible the night before with Liquid Wrench, will be well worth the time. Directions were straight forward and were only needed to check sequence of some of the install. We did have to disconnect the lower front control arms to get the springs in place, but they went back in easily. Other than that I am very satisfied!
