Good but room to improvement
My rating of these is a 3.5. I bought these as a permanent replacement for the door mounted factory mirrors. Though I know they aren’t designed for that, it makes life a lot easier just to leave them on to allow me to take off the doors and just put them back on when done without hassle. I removed the factory mirrors from the doors for this as well. Pro's - Sturdy, easy to install, fit well, look great Con's - Unfortunately, like many have said on here, they are a bit difficult to adjust to a specific location to allow a good view, whistle a ton going down the road (which gets extremely annoying after about 10 minutes and is my biggest complaint), and are very difficult to keep in place (the arms that is, not the mirror) once you get them adjusted (doesn’t take much to move them enough to make them unusable). The screw down nuts are hard to tighten enough to get them to hold in place for any length of time. If you have hands of any size good luck trying to get your mitts on the knobs to tighten them. All in all a good sturdy mirror and It’s what I needed and meets my needs after messing with them for an hour or so to get them just where they needed to be. I personally couldn’t see anyone having to take these on an off and trying to get them right and adjusted every time. So as a permanent solution they are great for now. Thanks, WilliamHelpful (2)

Not as Sturdy
I don't know what I expected, but they are not quite as sturdy as I thought. I LOVE the quick release, but on the highway the mirrors do move.......... I don't go that fast (it is a trailing Jeep after all) so I'm a little surprised.Helpful (1)

They don't move but will whistle
Easy to install and don't move while driving 40 mph. Have not tested them on highway yet, but they do whistle going down the road.Helpful (1)

I previously bought these two years ago and the rusted a little so I bought a new pair, for the price and look no matter if they did rust, I will continue to use these with my tube doors.Helpful (1)

I have a habit of breaking off mirrors when off-roading, so I’ve tried a bunch of different kinds. I like these the best so far. I’ve done city driving, highway driving, and rock crawling with them, and they’ve held up well. A little whistle, as noted in other reviews, but I don’t find it that bad. It just adds to the symphony that all Jeeps are.Helpful (1)

Very good looking
These mirrors are pretty good looking ones. My JK looks majestic with these on and the doors off. ‘Extreme Terrain’ is a fantastic company they accepted the exchange of my broken mirrors without giving me any grief. I would give FIVE stars fro their Customer Care. The product definitely has room for improvement. They look great and all. But they are not super sturdy though. If they made a cross bar (additional bar) it would have been much more sturdy. These are one of the expensive products in this genera. They could’ve done little bit more to be little more sturdy.Helpful (1)

My doors come off much more now
This product is great, extremely easy to get the brackets attached and then it’s just adjusting the mirrors and you’re good to go. They do whistle, but not so much you can’t drown it out with music. I wanted to try to solve it anyway and reduced the noise a lot by putting a small amount of superglue I had leftover under the edge of the rubber. Also, they have moved on me twice, but both times were when I was going 75 mph and there was a strong crosswind. The whistling noise and the fact that they fold in when going faster than I needed to be going and got hit by a strong wind don’t warrant taking a star away in my mind. If you take the doors off a lot, get these to keep your Jeep legal and to just be safer. You won’t regret it. JTHelpful (1)

The product seems to be alright. Easy install cheap quality but does seem to fulfill the needs of foors off driving. 1] issue #1 is the vibration at any speed above 30mph 2] issue #2 is the need to really torque down on the nut to prevent the mirror from folding in on itself 3] issue #3 and this is a minor thing, I hear whistling while driving. It's the rubber edge stripping. But with no doors and no roof mud terrain tires and a 50" light bar the noise is insignificant. I will pipe on some silicone sealer along the edge and see if that resolves the issue. Other then these things I feel safer seeing out the passenger side of the vehicle and that is important.Helpful (1)

Simple design and easy to install
Only take a couple of minutes per mirror to put together. The mounts have a thin foam pad that separates the mount from the jeep's frame to protect your finish. The mounts don't interfere with the stock mirrors when you go to put your doors back on, so you don't need to uninstall and reinstall the mounts every time you want to take the doors off.Helpful (1)
Can these mirrors stay on and be functional even when doors are on Jeep? I want to use this all the time, with and without doors
Yes The Rugged Ridge Quick Release Black Rectangular Mirrors are functional even when doors are on the jeep.
Will this work with your part #J114867 Snyper led light pillar mounting bracket or will the bolts not be long enough.
You will be able to use both of those parts together, however it would most likely require the use of longer bolts.
Will the driver side mirror interfer with my driver side mounted Hi Lift Jack. Not worried about the mirror as it looks like it will adjust forward or back. Just concerned about the mount itself
While they do not mount to the same spot, there is a chance that your Jack could block at least some of the view from your mirror. So they will both bolt on, but your mirror may be harder to use.
The drivers side mirror whistles but the passenger side doesn’t. How can over rid of the whistle on the drivers side?
The whistling is likely a result of the position of the mirror. You can try adjusting it to where you can still use the mirror and see if the whistling is diminished. Unfortunately, if the whistling is a result of the mirror position, it could be difficult to eliminate it entirely.
Can these be used with a 50 in led light bar mount or will the screws not reach?
This will depend on the location and size of the LED light bar mount and we have not yet test fit this combination in order to verify.
Yes these will absolutely fit on your 2017 Willy’s Wheeler.
The Rugged Ridge Quick Release Black Rectangular Mirrors would not be able to be put in a usable position with the OEM mirrors installed, but can be swung out of the way. The mirror would measure 7.5"x10.5".
The Rugged Ridge Quick Release Black Rectangular Mirrors - Pair (97-17 Wrangler TJ & JK) do not have a speed rating, but can handle higher speeds well since the are mounted on the A-pillar. They are pretty steady on at higher speeds as well, just make sure everything is tighten down properly.
Yes you can! The Rugged Ridge Quick Release Black Rectangular Mirrors - Pair (97-17 Wrangler TJ & JK) have brackets that don't stick out enough to infringe on the door radius.
The bushing on the Rugged Ridge Quick Release Black Rectangular Mirrors is plastic.
Yes, you shouldn't have any issues removing or installing your doors once the Rugged Ridge Quick Release Black Rectangular Mirrors are installed.
Unfortunately we have not test fitted the Barricade roof rack and the Rugged Ridge Quick Release Black Rectangular Mirrors together so we would be unable to confirm fitment. If they do fit together, I would suggest sourcing out longer bolts to make sure enough length of the bolts are threaded to the vehicle to ensure the bolt holds in place.
