Shock Sizing. When Rough Country set out to design a shock, they knew the importance of having a shock stiff enough to endure off-road abuse, but soft enough to keep the on street ride smooth. This rear shock is nitrogen charged to 200 psi to prevent aeration which causes shocks to fail. The 200 psi charge also helps keep your Jeep stable no matter the terrain.

Shock Properties. This Rough Country shock has an integrated 10-stage variable valving feature. This feature allows for the same shock to be used on and off-road without having to get out and adjust it. Rough Country went one step further in making sure their shocks could be used by everyone and built this shock to withstand temperatures to negative 50 degrees Celsius.

Notable Features. The massive 1 and 3/8 inch (34.9mm) bore with a chromed hardened 9/16 inch (14.2mm) piston rod gives this shock extreme off-road durability. This shock also has a spring loaded piston rod seal and rubber bushings to dampen and absorb energy while you're conquering the trails.

Application. This rear shock fits 1987 - 1995 Wrangler YJ models with lifts between 2 and 4 inches.

Freight Notes. Freight items can only be shipped within the continental 48 states, no expedited methods.
