Motorized Steps that Can Support 800 lbs. You can get into your 2007-2018 Wrangler 4-door nearly as easily as using your front doorstep with the Rock-Slide Engineering Step Sliders installed. Able to support up to 800 lbs per side, the Rock-Slide sliders fold away neatly when not in use and extend when the doors are opened. When closed, they serve as an extremely tough set of rock sliders, thick enough to deflect most rocks at rock-crawling speeds rather than being bent by them. The pinch weld is fully protected with the sliders attached. These sliders are also capable of mounting rock lights (not included). They also feature improved motors, which are stronger and quieter than earlier versions. An on/off rocker switch is included so you can disable or enable the function at will.

Rugged American-Made Parts. Completely USA-made for quality and workmanship, the Rock-Slide Engineering Step Sliders are mainly made out of laser-cut 11-gauge steel (3/16” plate). They are finished with black powder-coat that’s textured to match other trim like the fender flares. The motors are waterproof and designed to function anywhere between -40° F and +120° F, with slower but effective action at very low thermometer readings. They are Trail Rated for 1 to 4; 5+ trails need a skid plate also (sold separately).

Some Drilling Needed. A small amount of drilling is needed to prepare your Wrangler for installation of the Rock-Slide Engineering Step Sliders. Once this is done, they bolt on using the included hardware. To spare you cutting and splicing your Jeep’s electrical system, the motors and computer mount to the door and feature their own small, separate wiring harness. The door sensors are magnets which attach readily to the door.

Limited Lifetime Warranty. To ensure the highest quality of their materials and craftsmanship, Rock-Slide Engineering backs their products with a limited lifetime warranty. Some exclusions may apply, please see manufacturer's warranty for details.

Cool feature with the auto retract. Obviously not going to supply a ton of protection and they do seem sort of flimsy at first. They are not. Jumping on them put that to the test.

How much lower does the drop down step come from the raised position? It looks like about 12 inches in the picture/video but is hard to tell.

    • Per Rock Slide Engineering, The Rock-Slide Engineering Step Sliders will deploy 12" from the fully stowed position to the fully deployed position.

      Love these step sliders!

Newly installed and already exceeding my expectations. They are fast and smooth, although a bit noisy, but tolerable. I’m getting old enough that such convenience has become necessary, and since I’m not a hard core rock crawler, the slider capability is more than adequate for my needs. I am very pleased with them so far.
