I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com, and this is my review and installation of the OPR Replacement Mirror, fitting all 1987 to 2002 Wranglers. These mirrors are available for both the passenger's side and the driver's side of your Jeep, and they're available in the traditional and factory styled black finish or a polished chrome finish, if you're interested in changing up the look of it. Today we're gonna talk through the installation of this mirror, which is going to be a very simple one out of three wrench install. We're gonna be able to get this bolted up to your Jeep in far under half an hour, but we'll talk more about the installation in just a second. We're also gonna talk about the construction and a few of the features of this mirror. This is for those of you who have a broken or worn out factory mirror that you're looking to replace. Now, the factory mirrors have an adjustable ball joint just like this one, and eventually they can wear out, so that when you're driving down the road, the wind can actually push the mirror down, which, if you've been in that situation, it can be very, very annoying. Now, this mirror, just like your factory one, does have a couple of screws in the bottom, and if you tighten those up, sometimes you can get a little bit more stiffness out of that joint. However, if you just can't get your mirror to stay in position, or, of course, if you have broken your mirror, then it may be time for a replacement. And this replacement mirror is going to be very, very similar to a factory mirror in design and in look. Now, Jeep did change to a slightly newer design in 2003, so, again, this is gonna be for those of you with a YJ or an earlier TJ up to 2002. Anything after '02 has a more round, a little bit more of a modern mirror, and we have those available as well. But, again, this is going to be a very close replica to an OEM mirror, but without you having to pay the price of going to Mopar for a replacement. This does come with a bit of a gasket that goes between the mirror and your door to keep the mirror from chipping the paint on the door, and it does come with all new hardware as well as an Allen key to install the hardware, so you really have everything you need. Again, the mirrors are sold individually, so pick left or right side, whichever one you're looking to replace, for, of course, you can get both of them individually to completely overhaul all of your exterior mirrors. And these are available in the black finish that looks very much like that factory mirror or a chrome finish if you decide to go with a little bit of a different look.Getting this mirror installed is a very simple one out of three wrench install. You can get this bolted up in under half an hour. All you'll need to do is remove the three screws that are holding your factory mirror onto your door, and then go ahead and bolt up this new mirror with the included hardware and the included tool. Again, less than half an hour, you don't even have to supply your own tools. The tool you need comes in a box. All the hardware comes in the box. Everything's right there for you. This is going to be a very, very easy squab for anyone to do and then drive away. This mirror comes in at right around $40 for the black version and just a few dollars more for the chrome version. There are other replacement mirrors on the market that are significantly more expensive than this one, and honestly, I don't really know why. This looks just like a factory mirror. It looks just like those other replacement mirrors that cost significantly more money. I don't see much of a reason to spend more. If I was replacing the mirror on my TJ, I would go with this one. So whether you have a broken or worn out mirror on your TJ, and you're looking for a replacement that's going to look and act just like the factory one, but doesn't have that factory price tag, I think this is going to be a really nice option to take a look at. So that's my review of the OPR Replacement Mirror, fitting all 1987 to 2002 Wranglers, that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.
Fits 1987-2002 YJ and TJ Wranglers. Easy Installation.
Specs. Mirrors are frequent victims of the terrain during adventurous wheeling, broken by saplings, branches, and other hazards. This Passenger Side Redrock 4x4 Replacement Mirror is a superior quality replacement that brings the smooth, bright sheen of chrome to your Wrangler's mirrors, too.
Construction. This Passenger Side Redrock 4x4 Replacement Mirror is carefully designed for excellent durability. Construction is solid steel, while the chrome plated finish looks great and protects the metal from all kinds of moisture and corrosion. This mirror is an exact stock replacement and is highly rugged and durable.
Application. This Passenger Side Redrock 4x4 Replacement Mirror fits 1987-2002 TJ and JK Wranglers.
the mirrors look and function great except the nut underneath the "hing" that folds the mirror in or out. It tends to loosen up and needs to be tightened every so often or you start to develop play in the mirror. This could be an individual fitment issue. Nothing that a washer and locknut can't solve but its an extra step.
Easy to install, seems to be of good Quality. Only issue is tightening the screws underneath the mirror had to cut down the provided allen wrench to get it to fit between the rubber gasket and the bottom of the mirror.
Overall pleased but have sharp flash on top of (both) mirrors along mirror side edge. Plating covers it so I'm reluctant to break off and break seal. Guess I'll probably dress it off and cover with clear lacquer or something.

They work and look great!
These chrome mirrors look great! They are a nice upgrade to your YJ. Easy to install. Only took me a few minutes per side to install. Already have gotten several compliments on them. I highly recommend these mirrors to make your Wrangler stand out amongst the others.
James C, 2006 Jeep Wrangler TJCustomer Service I’ve always loved Jeeps from a young age, after moving to Puerto Rico at the age 9 my uncle had a Cherry Red 73 CJ5 which I fell in love with.
