Hello! I have a 2.5" lift on my JKU. Would the 42" jack be suitable or should I go with a 48" one? Thank you very much in advance!!!

    jeepgrrl

    • Hello, I would advise going 48" just to be safe.

What is the actual weight of the 42" RedRock Jack, and what of the 48" RedRock Jack? Note that my jeep is a 1999, but your menu would not scroll down below 2000, so I selected 2000 as it would not allow me to ask the question. Thank you Marialena

What size hi lift jack for a 3 1/2 inch lift on my jeep wrangler.... thanks...Mike

    MichaelP

    • Depending on your year and model Wrangler we would suggest 48" recovery jack, like the RedRock 4x4 48 in. Extreme Recovery Jack - Black found here: https://www.extremeterrain.com/redrock-4x4-48-extreme-recovery-jack-black.html with a 3.5" lift. If you'd like to go over with us the exact size you'd need based on your year, model, lift and tire size please contact us directly, our contact information can be found here: https://www.extremeterrain.com/contact.html.

I would like to know what was suppose to be included with jack. We received it in a box that was torn and are afraid that some of the parts were missing.

Where would this be stowed and kept in a 95 Wrangler YJ?

    SterlingA

    • Multiple brackets are available to mount the RedRock 4x4 42 in. Extreme Recovery Jack. One of our most popular is the RedRock 4x4 Extreme Recovery Jack Spare Tire Mount: https://www.extremeterrain.com/redrock-4x4-tire-jack-mount-j100785.html

Would the 42 in. jack work with my 2012 JK w/3.5 in. lift or would I need to go with the 60 in.?

    ScottAD

    • When it comes to a JK with a 3.5in lift, I would not recommend the RedRock 4x4 42 in. Extreme Recovery Jack - Black (87-17 Wrangler YJ, TJ & JK). I would actually recommend the REDROCK 4X4 48 IN. EXTREME RECOVERY JACK - BLACK (87-17 WRANGLER YJ, TJ & JK); Item #J103267, which can be found here: http://www.extremeterrain.com/redrock-4x4-48in-blk-jack-j103267.html. This will give you the extra room in regards to helping with recovery of your wrangler.

      Great Jack

This is a great jack and for a great price. I bought on Black Friday for $39 and it is very easy to use. Had some issues with one of the jacks missing the bolt for the top jaw due to a destroyed package, but they got it to me separately. The jack is a little weak on the base if not properly secured. It's just basic leverage principles.

Great Jack, Great Price, Great Size!

I run 33's on my JKU so this jack is a great size. Mounted to the tailgate hinge with a Rugged Ridge mount. it hardly sticks up above the hard top. Price is right and shipping was quick!

      cheap non replaceable hardware

Had this lift for 2 years used it 2 times. piece of hardware bent, no replacement kit. Spend an extra $10 and get Hi-Lift product that can be fixed easily when needed. Extreme Terrain needs to offer more options for this category.

      Jacked up!

Went out 12/27/17 with my new Jack on board. Got stuck on a downed Log and almost as quickly as I got stuck, I freed myself using my new Jack! Awesome!

      Stump puller

I don't just use my Jack 4 vehicle work and Recovery. I use it for chores. I pulled up a stump 2 days after I got the jack and it worked great. I did apply a little bit of graphite powder to the mechanism to smooth it out a bit. Great product!

      Jack

Red rock extrem jack truly is not that much different from the jack I used growing up on the farm years ago;however, it is red and has a grip pad on the handle. I haven’t used it yet or even mounted on my jeep but will soon and it will look rad standing against my yellow jeep.

      Awesome Antenna

The Hi lift jack not only looks great on the back of my rig, but gives me confidence should l need it, that it will lift my truck unlike the factory jack would now.

      Money well spent

Received jack and two days later had to use it well made and sturdy. No problems. Also used base stand that I also bought with it. Made it very stable and safe. Will recommend to Jeep friends.

      Best Jeep Tool to Have

Having purchased larger then stock tires and rims from Extreme Terrain the stock Jeep jack no longer works. I have not needed the Recovery Jake but have allowed two other Jeep owners use it. They had not considered the fact that as their Jeep was jacked up they needed your Extreme Recovery Jack. I was happy to let them use mine. The fact that it sits on my hood as lets other Jeep owners know I have it. It looks great on the mounts you proved. Money well spent; thank you Extreme Terrain.
