      Description

Sizing. The Pro Comp ES9000 Series Rear Shock is a nitrogen charged shock absorber that's made specifically for Jeeps with between 0 - 2 inch lifts.

Properties. This shock was designed to work as well on the road as it does off. With a 1 3/8 inch nylon banded full displacement piston head, paired with a double welded shock mount and a large 5/8 inch hand-chromed piston rod, this is a strong, durable, long-lasting shock.

Notable Features. This is the perfect choice for a Jeep owner who needs a shock for bigger load capacity, but still wants exceptional handling and high performance. The expanded twin tube design increases fluid capacity by as much as 50 percent, which in turn lowers internal temperatures. You can use these shocks with the Pro Comp suspension system. They use a 10-stage velocity sensitive valve process.

Application. This Pro Comp ES9000 Series Suspension Rear Shock is designed to fit on all fits 2007-2018 JK Wrangler with a 0-2 inch lift. Sold Individually.

        Good for the money

Easy to install. With that said there are no instructions included in the box. Search the internet before starting for help if you have not done it before.

        5 2007 Wrangler - Johnnyreepsvill

        Good to go

Excellent shocks, I can’t complain. Many people think expensive shocks will turn your Jeep into a smooth Cadillac but that is never the case!!! I’m happy with these, they are better than stock. And exactly what I was looking for. A Jeep will always drive like a jeep so don’t waste money on something that is meant to wear down(if you are stock). These are perfect. But I am a simpleton and compare how my stock jk rides to my old yj so take this with a grain of salt.

        4 2007 Wrangler - Stephen

        Pro comp shocks

Much better ride for cheap shock - little firm - but doable - had expensive Rancho shocks that were shot after 2yrs - rear shocks litterly fell out when un bolted ! One annoying thing was getting rear upper shock bracket through rubber grommet on shock - shud come installed already ! Other than that happy so far !

        5 2014 Wrangler - Jeepguy74

        Pro comp front and rear

I need to replace my shocks probably for several months. the ride is great. Pretty easy install other than bad info on one of the size nuts. Once i figured that out it is a breeze. Only thing i would change is on the rears preload the upper bracket because it is a bear to get it in. All in all impressed. Its nice to have a good comfortable ride again!

        5 2015 Wrangler - JeffG

        Improved ride

Easy to install, didn’t have to jack up the Jeep to put them on! The front passenger side is a bear to get to the top nut, but the entire job took less than 2 hours, and that includes the steering stabilizer.

      5 Top Rated Questions

Are these shocks actually an upgrade compared to my stock 08 rubicon shocks?

      • The factory Rubicon shocks are valved with a different rebound and ride and are more of an off-road shock. The Pro Comp ES9000 Series offer a better on road performance and a similar off road performance when compared.

I changed both my bumpers out for Smittybilt Gen 2 SRC bumpers and the weight dropped the ride height by about 1.5 in and it bounces more during highway driving. Will these (both front/back) return my JK to original ride height and remove the excess bouncing?

      • These will not increase ride height but should assist with the ride quality.

If these shocks are designed for a 0-2 in. lift then why are they included with the Pro Comp 3.5 in. Lift Kit (Item J104375)?

      • Procomp offers several size shock in the ES9000 series, the 3.5 inch lift uses models designed for 3-4 inch lift kits.

Can I run these shocks on a 2.5" lift?

      • The Pro Comp ES9000 Series Suspension Rear Shock for 0-2 in. Lift are only rated for up to 2" of lift. We would not suggest installing these with 2.5" of lift. Currently we do not offer the Pro Comp ES9000 shocks compatible with 2.5" in the rear.

Will these shocks increase the ride height on a JK with a complete OEM suspension?

      • The Pro Comp ES9000 Series Suspension Front Shock for 0-2 in. Lift will not add lift to a Wrangler with stock ride height components. They are replacement shocks for JK's with stock suspension or up to a 2" lift.
