Omix-ADA OE Rear Bumper - Textured Black (97-06 Wrangler TJ)
I'm Ryan from ExtremeTerrain.com, and this is my review of the Omix-ADA OE rear bumper, fitting all 1997 to 2006 TJs. This is for those of you who are looking to replace the factory rear bumper on your Jeep because it's either damaged or rusted out, or maybe you have an aftermarket bumper on your Jeep and you're looking to switch back to stock. This is an exact OE replacement that is just the bumper, so it doesn't include the plastic bumper ends. It does, however, include some of the hardware that you need to get it installed on your Jeep. You will have to reuse two of the factory bolts to get this bolted on. This bumper is made of steel and it's covered in a black powder coat finish. Again, it's designed to be an exact replacement of your OE bumper, so it'll install the exact same way, it looks the same way, you can use all your factory hardware, and your factory plastic bumper ends. To get this installed on the Jeep, the first thing you'll need to do is remove whatever bumper you currently have installed on the Jeep. If you are replacing a factory bumper with this bumper, the first step is to remove the plastic bumper ends by removing the Torx bolts that are holding them into place. Then, remove the four nuts that are holding the bumper onto the rear cross member, and then the two bolts that are holding the bumper into the frame rails itself. Once the factory bumper is removed, you can replace it with the new bumper in the exact reverse process. So you'll install this bumper, install the four included nuts through the rear cross member, install the factory bolts through the bottom of the bumper into the rear frame rails, and then reinstall your plastic bumper ends with those Torx bolts if you want to. A lot of people choose to run this bumper without the plastic ends, myself included, so they're optional only if you want to reinstall them. Now, the installation process for this bumper shouldn't take you more than an hour, and the disassembly of the old bumper should be pretty quick, as well, depending on what bumper you're removing to get this installed. You won't need any specialty tools to do this job, however, a good set of Torx bits and some sockets will come in handy. This is an exact OE replica, as far as I can tell. It seems to be really well built, fit really well, and the finish on it is nice also. The bumper, in my opinion, is priced really fairly if you're looking for a like-new OE replacement. Now, there are tons of used TJ factory rear bumpers on the Web that you can purchase, but none of them are going to be in like-new condition like this is. So, if this is what you're looking for, it's a great option. If you're just looking for something to throw on the Jeep and beat up a little bit, maybe you go and get one of those less expensive used ones off the Web. So, if you have a factory rear bumper on your TJ that is rusting or damaged and you don't want to replace it with an aftermarket bumper, or you have an aftermarket bumper and you're looking to go back to stock, this is a great option. It's just like a factory bumper, it includes most of the hardware that you need to get it installed, and it'll do the trick at a low price. So that's my review of the Omix-ADA OE rear bumper, fitting all 1997 to 2006 TJs, that you can find right here at ExtremeTerrain.com.

The bumper arrived quickly and bolted right on, looks just like the original one it’s replacing.
