Simple installation for anyone.
I'm Ryan from ExtremeTerrain.com, and this is my review of the replacement mirror fitting all 2007 to 2016 JK's. There's also a version of this that has a power adjustable feature and a heated feature if you have a 2011 to 2013 that had those features from the factory. These are for those of you who have a broken factory side view mirror that you're looking to replace, or those of you who have half-doors or tube-doors that are designed to accept a factory mirror, but aren't interested in moving your factory mirrors from your full doors back and forth. These will save you some money over those big name-brand mirrors on the market, and they'll definitely get the job done.As far as the way these are built and the way that they look, they're very, very similar to OEM mirrors which is exactly what they're suppose to be. They're a plastic housing with a metal mount, that are designed to mount in exactly the same way as your factory mirrors do. These ones are manually adjustable, and they're a little bit less expensive, but as I said before, if you have an '11 to '13 that has factory powered and heated mirrors, then you can get that replacement mirror for a little bit more money, and they'll plug right in.Getting these bolted up could not be any easier. The factory mirrors are held on to the door by two Torx bolts on the inside of the door. You don't even have to remove a door panel to get to them. All you need to do is open the door, remove those two Torx bolts, and then remove the mirror. If you do have that factory power option, you will have to unplug the wiring harness. Once the old mirror is out of the way, you can install the new one by first plugging it in, again if power is there, and then putting it into the door and replacing those two Torx bolts from the inside. The whole installation process shouldn't take you more than a half-hour. Even if you were doing a pair of these, I wouldn't expect it to take that long. You won't need any specialty tools at all. However, you will need a Torx bit, and there's a Phillips head screw on the bottom of this replacement mirror that you might want to tighten up so the mirror doesn't move when you're at highway speed. In my opinion, these mirrors are a really good value. Mirrors in general can be very expensive especially when you get into a power and heated mirror. But these will save you a lot of money over those bigger name-brands on the market. And by looking at it, no one would ever know that you replaced your factory mirror, and especially that you replaced it with one that saved you as much money as this does.So whether you're looking to replace a factory mirror that was broken on the road or on the trail, or you're tired of moving your factory mirrors from your full-doors onto your tube-doors, these will definitely get the job done, and they'll save you a lot of money over those big name-brand mirrors on the market. So that's my review of the replacement mirrors for all 2007 to 2016 JK's that you can find right here at ExtremeTerrain.com.

OPR Right side power/heated mirror 11-13
Nice replacement mirror fits very well and looks OEM! It's not exactly plug and play if you've had the power mirror recall done you will have to cut 1of the wires and solder and shrink wrap to the new wire from the recall it's a simple fix and mirror seems to function well remember to tie a piece of string to old plug when you pull it through the door this will help in routing the new wire through the door. Jeep on!!!Helpful (0)

Install was fairly easy, guiding connector through door was the most difficult part. This replacement part does not have rubber grommet that stock mirror has to keep proper loop in harness so power windows don't catch it. I added my own to secure harness, so far so good. Rated fit a 4 for not having this piece.Helpful (2)

Great product but......
The mirror looks great, identical to factory mirrors. Installed it on 2012 JK Rubicon. Installation was a different story. It came with no instructions. Had to look up various videos on the internet during installation. It looks great and functions perfectly. I installed the powered and heated mirror. Just wish it came with instructions or at least directed you to a dedicated video.Helpful (8)

Side Replacement mirror
The mirror was a bit more complicated to install because I had to remove the door panel in order to hook up the heat and electrical adjustment wires. Once that was complete and the mirror was hooked up all was fine until we got on the road the glass vibrated and shook with the road.Helpful (8)

Great alternative to OEM Side Mirror
Good news: You can't tell the difference between the stock OEM part and this OPR product. A little tricky getting the wiring through the door internals. Before pulling out the mirror you are replacing, tie a string to the end of the wiring harness connector and pull through. Make certain you don't pull the string all the way out because you'll need it to pull the new wiring harness back through. Then simply plug in, test operation, and remount the interior door panel. Good to go.Helpful (9)

Why won't this work on a 2014
The wiring on the 2014+ models is different.
The wiring is a nightmare. You need a tutorial on how to rewire. The door panel needs to come off and you have to guide the wires blindly. It's almost impossible and this tutorial seems very misleading.
Hi,I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with your wiring, please call or send us an email and we can help you out with your problem. http://www.extremeterrain.com/contact.html
Will this mirror head and wiring work on a 2016?
Hello, unfortunately this will only work on 2011 - 2013 JK Wranglers.
Can you fold this mirror manually?
Hello, yes because this is an OE style replacement you should be able to fold them in manually.
