    5 Top Rated Questions

With this kit does it come with everything you need and do you recommend any esle to go with it

    • The JKS Jspec 2.5 in. Lift Kit will have everything you need to get your wrangler lifted and back on the road. You will want to be sure that you get an exhaust spacer with this kit if your wrangler is a 2012-2018 JK. Some suggested upgrades to this kit would be: Adjust Control arms/Control arm brackets. Another great upgrade to compliment this kit would be a rear adjustable track bar.

Would the rear track bar relocation bracket be strong enough for the long run or should I buy Rough Country Forged Rear Adjustable Track Bar?

    • The track bar and track bar bracket in the JKS Jspec 2.5 in. Lift Kit will be strong enough for light off roading and street driving, but for extreme off road, a forged track bar would be a good piece of insurance.

I see front geometry correction is one of the optional recommended upgrades. What about the rear? Any suggestions besides adjustable track bar?

    • Adjustable sway bar links are recommended to help correct the rear geometry. We do offer the JKS Front or Rear Adjustable Swaybar End Link kit for 0-6 in. lift (J18031).  Here is the link: https://www.extremeterrain.com/jks-front-or-rear-adjustable-jk-2943.html

What's the minimum backspacing needed to run this lift kit?

    • Wheel offset/backspacing will depend on the tire size selected, and wheel width.

With this kit, do I need other hardware like JKS Control Arm Correction Bracket kit?

    • This lift kit will have everything you need to get your wrangler lifted. It is highly recommended that you will need the JKS exhaust extension kit. When lifting a Jeep it can throw off the caster. But, the Control Arm Correction Bracket kit will help to correct your caster when you install the lift kit. We also recommend to get an alignment once the lift kit is installed.

Review from JKS Jspec 2.5 in. Lift Kit (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK 4 Door)

      Great lift

This was at the high end of cost, but I think it is worth it. The Fox shocks are great, the additional front track bar is easily installed and adjustable to within 1/8" on each side of the vehicle and the fully removeable sway bar end links are awesome. The ride quality is as good if not better than stock. I would be nice if new rear end links were included rather than drilling new holes at the top of the bracket. Also, the front brake lines are tight at full flex. I still need to bend out the solid brake lines from 90 degrees.

      Ist lift - 1st impression

I installed the JSPEC 2.5" lift, added JKS control arm correction brackets and an adjustable rear track bar. jeep handles great, looks great, and really smooths out the bumps. Not familiar with lifts at all this is my 1st one. but I am very pleased. we'll see how it does off road once deer season gets here but i'm pretty sure i'll be just as happy.

Review from JKS Jspec 2.5 in. Lift Kit (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK 4 Door)

      Great kit!

First off, the parts were extremely well packaged! A little bummed out by a 4 week back order for the shocks but overall happy with everything. Only reason for 4 stars is it seems one of the brake line brackets was bent the wrong way during manufacturing, I’m still waiting to hear back from JKS and hopefull they will send me a correct one. It’s a very complete kit and install is straight forward, no huge issues along the way. A little time consuming. Ride is very similar to stock (hard to compare switching to load range E tires).

      JSPEC 2.5 Lift kit

My kit was on backorder. Took 4 weeks to get here. Not a big deal, just thought I would mention it. I ended up getting 3’ inches of total lift out of this lift. Super solid solid kit pretty easy install. I opted to order the Rear Adjustable Track Bar and adjustable End Links. No drilling required when you do this option.

JKS Jspec 2.5 in Lift Kit 2015 JKU

Great product, quick delivery, fairly good installation instructions. Installation was performed in garage, by myself, off of jack stands. Biggest challenges were torquing front and rear track bars to 125ft/lbs with no room to work. Second challenge was that the rear track bar was hitting the rear correction bracket/brace attaching to the rear axle. Had to reverse the direction of the bolts 180 degrees. Once completed came together very nicely.

      An excellent choice

I wasn't really looking to lift the Jeep, I just needed to replace most of the parts that a lift kit includes. This lift filled that need. It's parts are stronger than stock and it installed without too much effort.

      Great so far.

Took a buddy and I about 7 hours to do the install, along with a full set of adjustable control arms. Installing the new rear trackbar bracket was a huge pain, other than that it was fairly straight forward. Because I added control arms, and also because I managed to untrue my steering wheel, I need an alignment. Will update review after I have a chance to test out the ride quality

      JKS 2.5 Lift Kit

This lift took me and a helper 7 hours to complete. It dramatically improved the stance and clearances. I have 18" rims and 33" tires. It also leveled the Jeep out, lifting the front a bit more than the back. I plan on a new front bumper and winch so the front will come back to neutral once I add more weight up front. Very satisfied with the JKS products. The Fox shocks that came with the kit are a bit stiff and I may invest in a set of the new Falcon adjustable shocks if my wife complains too much about the new stiffer feel of the Jeep on road.

      Longer Legs, Nice Ride

Lifted a Fat Willys Wheeler already modified with Barricade plate steel bumpers/skid/12K winch up front and a SRC plate steel rear with a Kongo Cage and safari basket on the roof. Total extra weight 500Lbs . Pic is running 285 70 R17 Duratracs, aka 33s. After 30 days from install, still 3.5 inches up front and 2.5 inches in rear. Runs well on and off the trails. Happy with the actual lift height results and product quality.

Review from JKS Jspec 2.5 in. Lift Kit (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK 4 Door)

      Great ride better than stock

Overall I am very impressed with the handling and ride from this list. Everything included is of high-quality and looks great. It would be nice for a few dollars more to include the rear sway bar ends instead of relocating the stock ends. I am also installing front lower control arms because I did not want to install the cam washers for this stock LCA's. The ride is very solid, flat and my Jeep looks great. it is a little stiffer than stock. Installation was straightforward. The instructions have lots of pictures and there are lots of videos online to help out on installation. I did the installation by myself in the driveway with two floor jacks and Jack stands which took about 5 to 6 hours. This was the first lift that I have installed. If I were to do it again I could probably take 1 to 2 hours off of that time. I have researched many lifts for the last month when I settled on the JKS Jspec 2.5 While this lift may not be the cheapest but it is complete and has many great quality parts. You will not be disappointed with this lift kit. Overall the front lifted up just under 3.75 inches and the rear 2.75 inches over stock. I am running heavy steel bumbers.

      Excellent

Wow, great lift and can’t wait to get some 35’s and toss out the 33s. The JKS Jspec quick disconnects are very convenient and the adjustable track bar seems very durable. I drove 14 hours to Colorado this past weekend and didn’t have one problem. Also the Fox Shocks definitely made the Jeep ride smoother. Mike

      Great kit!

Very well put together kit. The quality of the parts is apparent straight out of the box. I had no major complications on the install. It took a little longer than expected, but I like to take my time. My only regret is not buying lower control arms at the same time, as I’m not a huge fan of the cam-locks on the front. Great ride improvement both on and off road. Wish I had done this sooner.

      Very complete and capable kit

I installed the JKS Jspec 2.5 lift kit on my 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport. I went with this kit because it comes with high quality components, including quick disconnect sway bar links for the front, fox shocks, dual rate coil springs, and a beefier adjustable track bar. I've had the lift kit on for about 2 weeks. It seems to have settled by now. This past weekend, I re-torqued everything down to spec. It drives better than stock on the road. The shock and coil springs combo work great together. My whole jeep used to have a lot of movement over speed bumps, pot holes, and minor off-road trails. The new shocks and coil springs make a noticeable difference in absorbing that movement. I'll say that I don't think longer control arms are necessary, but they may improve the ride even more, especially if you plan on doing any sort of wheeling. I plan on adding some down the road. I run a 33" duratrac tire. With this kit, there is plenty of room for articulation with that size tire. You could probably run a 35" tire, but you may rub on the trail. If you plan on installing this in your drive way, I recommend buying a cordless impact wrench. Makita makes a 3/8" drive that packs a ton of power. It can fit in most tight places. You'll also need some good jack stands, and a floor jack. If you have these basic tools, installation is a breeze. However, you could certain get it done without the impact. After installing the track bar, make sure you re-align the steering before driving. If you don't, the traction control sensor engages, and automatically applies the brakes.
