Just had this unit installed yesterday (February 21st, 2019), on my 2013 Wrangler Sport. I was a little taken aback that Les Schwab needed to hire a professional licensed welder in order to tac a piece of this kit onto the vehicle. Is there anyone from the company that can better explain what that was about. From Les Schwab, I didn’t really get to understand the need, other than it was a newer style/version of the kit that they haven’t used in the past and it wasn’t something that could be bolted on?!? I know it was located on the front end, with what looked like near the axle. I’m not a car guy by any means, and I know this description could be a lot better. Just having a little trouble understanding the need for the random weld is all.

Do I need a geometry correction bracket and rear track bar?

      • The Fabtech 3 in. Budget Lift Kit w/ Shocks includes a rear track bar drop brackets so you can reuse your stock rear track bar. We would suggest adding a front adjustable track bar though. You may notice after you lift your Jeep 3 inches your angles and caster may be off. To correct that you would need to either add geometry correction brackets or adjustable control arms. Feel free to give our customer service team a call for more details on lifting!

Need to know if I need new driveshafts? I am strongly considering the Fabtech 3" lft. I have a 2014 Rubicon 4door. I have read that any lift over 2.5" requires new driveshafts. Is that true? Thank you. I will purchase this kit if it doesn't require the driveshafts.

      • This does not require new drive shafts for your application, but they are recommended if you are going to be doing major wheeling. You will also need to invest in an exhaust spacer kit to prevent contact with the rear drive shaft. Feel free to give our CS line a call for more details on lifting.
